Setting blooming good intentions

As we slowly emerge from deep winter, there is a subtle but noticeable shift, don't you agree? A gentle stirring beneath the surface as we see the snowdrops emerge from the frozen soil. The light lingers a little longer too with the promise of longer warmer days and nature begins to stretch awake. For me, this feels hopeful, the perfect time to set intentions, to align with the natural rhythm of growth and renewal. I find that now—on the cusp of spring—is when intentions truly take root. I chose my word for the year, BLOOM, as a guiding force, but now is the time to shape that vision, to give it form and purpose as I begin my process of Intention Setting.

With BLOOM at the centre of my intentions, I’m beginning to map out the year ahead with a focus on growth, creativity, and collaboration. March marks the relaunch of Creative Soulscapes, my six week signature course which I released into the world last year. Its timing with the arrival of spring feels deeply symbolic—an invitation to step into a new season of creative expression and connection. My free course, Creative Soul Discovery, will continue to be available for those of you who want a taster of my teaching.

Beyond that, there are some exciting florally inspired collaborations emerging—projects that align with the essence of BLOOM, both metaphorically and literally. Watch this space for more later this year!!

If, like me, you’re feeling ready to unfurl from winter’s quiet embrace, here are a few ways to set gentle yet meaningful intentions for the season ahead:

  1. Tune into what’s awakening within you. What ideas or desires have been quietly forming over winter? What is ready to grow?

  2. Use nature as a guide. Just as flowers don’t rush to bloom before their time, trust in your own natural timing. What needs nurturing before it can fully blossom?

  3. Align your plans with your word or theme for the year. If you have a guiding word, how can it shape your choices and actions this season?

  4. Embrace creative expansion. This is a time for trying new things, experimenting, and allowing your creativity to stretch beyond its winter boundaries.

Bringing Mindfulness and Joy into the Year

This year, I am also being more mindful in how I track my progress. Typically, I monitor engagement, subscriber numbers, and overall business trajectory, sales etc. This is a very quantitative approach and realising that made me think about what else I wanted to record. I want this year to be about more than just numbers so I have added JOY as a key metric in my monthly overview. I want to ensure that my work feels sustainable and fulfilling, with BLOOM and JOY at the conscious heart of my creativity.

I have also been deeply inspired by the book The Course by Tara Swart, which has been influencing how I set my intentions. The book explores the power of neuroscience and manifestation in shaping our goals, and it has encouraged me to approach my intentions with a stronger mindset and a clearer vision. It reinforces the idea that our thoughts and beliefs play a crucial role in what we bring into our lives—something I want to keep front and center as I move into this new season of growth.

As we step into spring, let’s honour this time of gentle emergence—setting intentions that feel aligned, nurturing what wants to grow, and allowing ourselves the space to bloom in our own time.
