Choosing a guiding word has always been a way for me to focus on what matters most and align my actions with my values. This year, abundance became more than a goal; it became a mindset—a lens through which I approached challenges, celebrated wins, and opened myself to new possibilities.
What Abundance Has Meant to Me
At its heart, abundance is about more than material success. It’s about recognising the fullness of life: the opportunities, the creativity, and the connections that surround us. This mindset has allowed me to shift away from scarcity thinking—the fear of not having enough time, resources, or opportunities—and instead embrace gratitude, trust, and possibility.
Here’s how this focus on abundance unfolded over the year:
Growth in Numbers and Impact
This year, my email list grew significantly, a reflection of the trust and interest my audience has shown in my work. I launched a free online course, and to my amazement, over 3,500 students enrolled. Knowing that my content reached and resonated with so many people feels like a true testament to the abundance of creative energy I’ve poured into my work.
Creative Courses with Soul
I also launched my signature course, Creative Soulscapes, an offering very close to my heart. The feedback was overwhelming in the best way—messages of appreciation, stories of transformation, and shared moments of creativity. This experience reminded me that abundance is reciprocal; as I give, I also receive.
Amplifying My Voice
Being invited to share my journey and ideas on two podcasts was another highlight. Speaking about creativity, seasonal alignment, and my personal growth felt like planting seeds—spreading inspiration while deepening my own understanding of my creative cycle.
The Abundance Mindset in Action
Much of this shift began with reading books that challenged my previous way of thinking. They taught me to see opportunities instead of limitations, to trust in the process rather than cling to control, and to celebrate even small wins. Adopting this abundance mindset didn’t happen overnight—it required practice, patience, and a willingness to let go of old habits.

Challenges and Lessons
Of course, this year hasn’t been without its challenges. There were moments of doubt, exhaustion, and recalibration. But these challenges became opportunities for growth. They taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of rest—a reminder that abundance also means knowing when to slow down.
Living Seasonally Aligned
A significant part of this journey has been staying rooted in seasonal alignment. As the world around me shifted—spring's renewal, summer's energy, autumn's reflection—I found inspiration and balance in the cycles of nature. Living in tune with these rhythms has kept me grounded, creative, and connected to the world around me. I continue in this vein as we enter the Winter and I begin my annual hibernation.
Looking Ahead
As the year draws to a close and I hunker down at home, I find myself reflecting on everything abundance has brought into my life—not just successes, but lessons, relationships, and creative fulfillment. I feel grateful, inspired, and ready to carry this mindset into the new year, whatever it may bring.
Choosing a word at the start of the year can feel like a small act, but for me, it’s a powerful declaration of intention. Abundance wasn’t just a word; it was an invitation to step into possibility, to trust in the process, and to welcome all the beauty and challenges of life with open arms, open mind and my heart and soul.
What word will I choose next year? I don’t know yet, but I do know this: the act of choosing will again set the tone for a year of intention, growth, and, hopefully, more abundance.
What about you? What word guided your year, and what will you choose next?
